Navy Pier, Chicago

Blogger: Stephanie Lynch

Recently while we were exploring the windy city of Chicago, we decided to check out Navy Pier. As this is a well known spot, we decided to get some local knowledge on it. A friend of ours told us that the best time to visit Navy Pier was first thing in the morning before the hustle and bustle begins.

So we started off on an early morning walk at Navy Pier. Exploring it before it came to life at 7am. It truly is a hidden gem before the hustle and bustle begins with locals walking and enjoying the peace and quiet in the early hours of the morning. Nothing beats grabbing a juice and going to a beautiful quiet walk first thing in the morning. The views of the Chicago skyline from the pier were out of this world. A little piece of heaven first thing in the morning.

Navy Pier is a 3,300-foot-long pier on the Chicago shoreline of Lake Michigan. A 50-acre playground for all ages, it boasts the best in activities, events, restaurants and shops. Navy Pier is a place for adventure… for all ages. There is so much to do and discover… its a must for anybody visiting Chicago. Be sure to try a new activity when visiting Navy Pier – boat rides, speed boats, splash in the fountain, the big wheel, sailing and much more.

The perfect start to the day in one of our favourite cities in the world
