Clay Pigeon Shooting

Guest Blogger: Barry

A few weeks ago, I, along with a group of lads out on a stag tried our luck at clay pigeon shooting at Knocknagoshel Shooting Grounds. Located at the border of Cork, Kerry and Limerick, it was the perfect stop for the party on route to Dingle for the weekend.

Upon arrival to the shooting grounds, we were given the opportunity to relax and enjoy a cuppa beside a blazing fire.

We were then taken up to the shooting range and individually shown how to hold and use a shotgun and live ammunition correctly. Having never fired a gun before, I must admit, even though I am a 23 year old male, I was a little nervous at first, but thanks to the great tuition of the instructors I was soon engrossed with the shooting, unfortunately for the clay pigeons though!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this activity and it is definitely an OnTheQT.ie location. I would highly recommend it for any group looking for a day out and something a little different.
