There is something so idyllic about staying next to the beach! Whether it’s listening to the waves in the morning, admiring the views.. or running back from a swim in the icy cold Atlantic Ocean to grab a quick shower! This is made even more idyllic when its one of the prettiest beaches in Ireland, Inch beach in Co. Kerry!
Inch beach is an excellent surfing spot with its perfect waves, also great for walks with a long open stretch of powdered sand, and you can even drive your car onto the beach which is a great novelty!
Directly across the road is “The Strand” a quirky beachside restaurant and hotel/hostel! With delicious food (we ordered fresh seafood special which was so tasty), an outdoor fire pit , and comfortable accommodation.. it is most definitely worth a trip!
The staff were helpful and friendly during our stay, the décor was quaint yet beautiful , and as we sat outside sipping our Irish coffees and watching the sun go down around the surfers making the most of the evening waves.. I thought to myself what a beautiful place! You simply cannot beat the location of this restaurant/accommodation!
