Siesta Key Beach

Blogger: Stephanie Lynch

Recently while exploring Florida, we stumbled across Siesta Key Beach. Little did we know, Siesta Key Beach has been voted the number 1 beach in America. Year after year it is voted in the top 10 beaches in America but this year it made number 1. The soft, powdery sand on our feet, the sun shining down on us and the crystal clear WARM sea… a perfect start to the adventure. (QT tip: Drive the beach route from Bradenton south to Siesta Key Beach… it’s beautiful).

Siesta Key Beach is central Sarasota’s gateway to the sparkling waters of the Gulf of Mexico, a spot with luxurious amenities and a relaxed vibe.

While on Siesta Key Beach you can do as much or as little as you want. You can enjoy fishing, boating, parasailing, kayaking, snorkeling, swimming, or you can just dip your toes in the sand and enjoy a good book or the amazing view, but don’t forget to keep an eye out for those playful dolphins. Siesta Key beach allows you to enjoy tennis and volleyball courts, playground and picnic areas. Its shallow water near the shoreline and year-round lifeguard protection make it a great beach for the whole family. All within walking distance of the many shops and restaurants on Siesta Key Village(feeling another blog on the village coming very soon!).

It truly is a little piece of heaven. Be warned.. the water is so nice, you won’t want to come out of it! White sand along the Gulf of Mexico,  picture-perfect sunsets, and soothing breeze that melts away your troubles so you really can’t go wrong! It’s beautiful.
