As a travel blogger, I get very excited when I see a new airline launching flights to Ireland! It means more locations to explore and discover. As you all know, we recently went on a trip to Iceland and we were delighted to fly with Wow Air direct from Cork Airport to Reykjavík. The Cork flights ran until October 27th and are stopping for the winter season but don’t worry, they still fly from Dublin Airport.
There are flights daily to Reykjavík from Dublin airport. Prices can range from €39.99 upwards. WOW air provide the cheapest flights to and from Iceland across the Atlantic, while still giving a great service. The flight was very punctual with a friendly service and a perfect size for a short flight. The staff couldn’t have been nicer and it was a relaxing flight across the atlantic.
Iceland is a place that should definitely be on your bucket list. Exploring The Northern Lights, The Blue Lagoon, Snow Mobile fun, Glaciers, Waterfalls, Geysers and much much more! The adventure holiday of a lifetime! What a destination! To check out all the details of our Iceland Trip, check out our post here. The Wow Air website even allows you to book your tours and transfers from the airport.
Exploring Tip: Wow Air also sponsor the city bikes in Iceland and we would highly recommend them for exploring. Here is the link.
WOW air is a low-fare, high-performance airline based in Iceland so of course we decided to explore their own country first. The airline was founded in November 2011 and now serves 38 destinations across Europe, North America and Asia so we are already planning our next adventure with them!! WOW air operates three Airbus A320 aircraft, eleven Airbus A321 and three Airbus A330. Their fleet will increase to 24 aircraft by the end of 2018.
Not only are we planning another trip to Iceland next year but we really want to explore some of the other 38 destinations they fly to.
On this trip, we teamed up with lots of different Iceland tourism providers who allowed us to experience their location or activity in return for featuring on the blog.
