Last week, we stumbled upon a new café hidden the heart of Cork City – Alchemy café and bookstore on Cork’s Barrack Street. A quirky, charming café which takes you away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and into a peaceful gem of coffee and books.
The dog-loving Cafe lounge captured our heart as soon as we walked in the doors and saw the quirky, relaxed decor. The decor had the local touch to it with the walls papered with old Echos and Examiners(two popular Cork papers). The comfy chairs provide a homely touch and vibe to the place. Lots of books in there which you can buy and read. Greeted by the friendly staff, we sat down and had a tea and coffee and took in the relaxed vibe. The selection of yummy cakes were very tempting and looked beautiful(we love our treats here at OnTheQT) and trust us they tasted even better!!
What could be better then a local gem which allows you to enjoy your coffee, a delicious treat and your book. Pure Perfection!
