Recently, I was going for lunch in Raheny and found a real gem ‘Kennedy’s Foodstore’. I paid a visit to the store in Raheny but I was told that they also have a place in Fairview also. Home bakery, all cakes and scones are baked onsite. You can smell the sweetness of the scones when you walk in the door. They cook all their own meats on the premise and make their own fresh salads. Lovely spot to pick up the paper and just have a coffee or read it over breakfast. It would be the ideal spot for a catch up with friends over lunch while trying some amazing food. Great atmosphere. The staff are fab – very friendly and welcoming as soon as you walk in the door.
QT TIP: They have a lovely seating to enjoy the sunshine outside, a real sun trap.
I had ‘The hick’s Organic Ham’ which is Hick’s smoked ham, swiss cheese, baby Leaves, tomato, mayo and Ballymaloe Relish. I just had to taste some of their baked goods also so I treated myself to a banana, nut and maple syrup muffin.
I heard they have tapas nights at the Fairview branch so I cant wait to try them out. I almost walked out of the place with the paper under my arm by mistake….I went straight back in but really it was just an excuse to get another smell of the coffee and delicious cakes!!
