Travelling the Wild Atlantic Way most certainly isn’t just about driving the beautiful roads around the West coast of Ireland. It’s about hopping out of the car, and exploring the hidden gems and activities that this wonderful part of the world has to offer! The OnTheQT crew LOVE water sports, so we were only delighted to pay a visit to Jamie Knox Watersports in Castlegregory!
En route from Dingle we got to drive over the stunning Conor Pass, the views are simply breath taking! We couldn’t not get out of the car to admire the scenery! In fact the entire drive from Dingle to Castlegregory is beautiful!
When we arrived at the water sports centre, we were spoilt for choice with different activities to choose from! Windsurfing, wake boarding, kite surfing, SUP’ing, surfing… whatever you’re willing to try Jamie will be more than happy to facilitate you! Voted as the number 1 destination in the entire world for windsurfing by the Sunday Times, and under the expertise of Jamie who is an ex-pro windsurfer – it might be an excellent opportunity to see how your windsurfing skills are!
We got changed into our wetsuits, and we were ready for some fun out on the water! We decided to go kayaking, before testing out the water trampoline and slide! We had a super time!
With a stunning backdrop of Mount Brandon, something for everyone to try out, and reasonable prices.. you’ll be sure to have an excellent time there! Enjoy x
