One of the best parts about our road trip along the Wild Atlantic Way was all the delicious food we got to taste! We uncovered hidden gems just like Mary Anne’s Teamrooms in Tralee, Co. Kerry! Nowadays, life can get hectic, we can all be guilty of being too busy, grabbing takeaways, getting coffee/tea on the go but as you walk into Mary Anne’s Tearoom in Tralee, it is almost as if time has stopped and all your worries are left at the door!
As you enter through the large old fashioned door, it feels as though you have stepped back in time! Greeted by a quaint, vintage style tea room with delicate and oh so pretty décor one could not be anything but relaxed! Each table has a different patterned table cloth- one as pretty as the next, a chandelier hangs beautifully from the ceiling, and there is a wonderful mixture of antique chairs and decorations that fill the room!
The menu caters for everybody with a selection of gourmet homemade baking (all proudly on display), beautiful gourmet sandwiches, all-day breakfast delights, and so much more! There is also a wide selection of delicious coffees, hot chocolate, and herbal teas served in a gorgeous tea pot with china cups and saucers! As our deliciously fresh sponge cake was served to us, I almost felt as though it was too pretty to eat!
If you are looking for something to cheer you up, or an elegant place to catch up with an old friend, this place is most certainly a secret gem in a busy little town that will put a smile on your face with its quirky atmosphere, friendly faces and delicious dishes! We could all do with a little break so take some time out of your busy schedule and step back in time at Mary Anne’s Tearooms!
