Here at OnTheQT we LOVE finding hidden gems, places off the beaten track that are waiting to be discovered by the world! For this reason we were truly delighted to find ourselves at Issie’s handmade chocolate shop in Castletownbere, Co, Cork!
Greeted with open arms by Isabelle herself, our trip to this magical chocolate shop was perfection from start to finish! An inspiring entrepreneur, delicious treats, and situated along the Wild Atlantic Way.. what more could you wish for!
The décor was simply beautiful with idioms hanging on the walls, and beautiful cloths on each table! The shelves were tightly packed and full to the brim of everything sweet you could possibly imagine! Lollipops, retro- sweets, candy bars, chocolate bars, and a luxurious display of handmade chocolates and pralines… your biggest problem will be deciding what to have!
As if that’s not enough there is also some delicious ice-cream to choose from, along with a selection of teas, coffee and hot-chocolate served in beautiful flowery china cups!
We hand-picked some mouth-watering chocolates and shared a hot cuppa, as we looked out at the sea-front and watched the world go by! The perfect place to relax and treat yourself!
