OnTheQT paid a visit to Tralee recently and came across Mary Anne’s Tearooms but little did we know there was much more to this spot then we realised. We got chatting to the locals and the friendly staff and we were told all about this little gem which offers accommodation, a magical tearoom and an enchanting restaurant called Finnegan’s Restaurant. The restaurant opens as the tearoom closes from 5pm – 10pm(7 days a week). We decided to check out the gem for ourselves during our last visit and we couldn’t believe our eyes. We walked down the steps and felt like we were walking out of the stressful everyday life and into an enchanting, cosy, homely restaurant.
Finnegan’s restaurant offer fresh food(all sourced locally) and each dish is freshly prepared everyday. As we sat down, we couldn’t help but notice the amazing decor surrounding us. The vibrant reds, brick walls, enchanting atmosphere and antique fittings make it stand out from anything you have ever seen before.
QT TIP: Make sure to book your spot on weekends. It is a local favorite so be sure to book so you aren’t disappointed.
This was a true gem and one you would only find through local advice. Great food, friendly staff and surroundings you will never forget. A perfect QT spot for a perfect cosy night out for two. We can even say it is one of the nicest restaurants in Tralee. What more could you want?
Pop down for a night. Enjoy afternoon tea, a delicious dinner in Finnegan’s restaurant and even enjoy a few drinks by checking into the hostel upstairs.
Treat yourself, we only live once!
