Have you ever noticed the places that take a little more effort to get to are always worth it? This is definitely the case for Boracay, one of the many sunshine islands which make up the Philippines!
We arrived by plane from Manila into Kalibo airport travelled up to the port by taxi (approx.. two hours away), and hopped on a boat ride to paradise! I instantly feel in love with the place as soon as I landed. We stayed on white beach… which is quite literally a beach with soft white powdered sand, lined with palm trees and delicious restaurants!
We spent our days swimming in the warm turquoise sea, sun bathing on the beach and exploring the beautiful shops on the island! It was the perfect get away! I wasn’t the slightest bit surprised when I learnt that Boracay was voted the best island in the entire world in 2012!
