Next up on our island hopping trip around the Philippines was the stunning Bohol. Located to the West of Cebu (from where we took a two hour ferry to reach our destination), it is the 10th largest island of the Philippines!
A major attraction on the island are the chocolate hills – which are numerous mounds of limestone formations! There is a fantastic view when you hike to the highest point! Bohol is also famous for its world class diving, consistently listed as one of the top 10 destinations for diving in the world!
If you’re looking for something a little more relaxing there are some gorgeous stretches of white sand ideal for a spot of sun bathing! My favourite was Dumaluan beach (approx. 2.5km from the main beach Alona) where some of the most exclusive resorts on the island are located!
There is accommodation to suit all budgets on the island, and plenty day trips/activities (which are advertised all along Alona beach!). I have no doubt you will enjoy your stay on the picture perfect island if you decide to go there!
