A Walk Through The New Aspire Lounge In Cork Airport

We attended the opening of the Aspire Lounge in Cork Airport a few weeks ago. We got a taste for it and made a video to bring you guys along with us to see it. Today, flying out to the States with Norwegian, we decided to go back and enjoy the Aspire Lounge before our flight. I thought it was a good time to launch of video to take you on a tour with us.

There is a lovely calm feel to the place with lots of comfortable seating areas to relax in before your flight. You can come in with a book and read in comfort, catch up on some work or chat to your travel buddy over a tea or coffee. There are plenty of charging points for your laptop and phone. And you don’t have to leave the lounge to check your flight details. This is the perfect place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the airport. Great to catch up on work or chill out before your flight.

ABOUT THE LOUNGE

The new lounge, which has capacity for upwards of 80 guests, is open to all travellers, irrespective of airline or class of travel, and is the 31st Aspire Lounge to open globally. OnTheQT were delighted to make the video to showcase the lounge. You can take a little tour with us through the lounge here. Passengers can pre-book at www.executivelounges.com/aspire for a fee of €24.99 or pay €28 on the day at the lounge.  Complimentary food, tailored to different parts of the day, along with drinks and newspapers are available, and there is a range of dedicated zones for business, dining and relaxing. Facilities include tableside charging and above all, a comfortable, relaxing environment. They have also added in a Guaranteed Delay Cover, which means that if a flight is delayed, and you have booked directly with us, you can remain in the lounge until your flight is ready to board.

THE MENU

The new lounge features ‘Best of Irish’ additions to the food menu, with local luxury food items. The complimentary breakfast includes Clonakilty black and white pudding; while Irish stew appears in the dinner options. The all-day cheeseboard showcases Cashel blue cheese along with Irish soda bread and Ballymaloe relish. The extensive drinks menu includes St. Patricks Gin, distilled less than 10km from the airport; Jameson Irish Whiskey; Murphy’s Irish Stout; draught Heineken; Tipperary Irish Water; and Barry’s Tea, all sourced locally. Lighter menu choices are also available with soups and salads, and drink options include complimentary premium brand alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, speciality teas and coffees.

Next time you are flying from Cork Airport be sure to book online and avail of the Aspire lounge for just €24.99. You can also look into Annual membership if you are a regular flyer. When you book direct through the Aspire website you will be covered in the event of delays to stay in the lounge longer. Just book with the link executivelounges.com/aspire.

I was delighted to work with and team up with Cork Airport and Aspire Lounge Cork to share my experience of the Aspire Lounge with you and create the video. #AD
