New Years Eve Top Destinations!

Looking for somewhere fun to celebrate the new year? Well we’ve done all the hard work for you, and researched the top destinations to jet off to this new years eve! Hope you have a wonderful time! 🙂

Sydney: It is imperative you spend at least one new years in Sydney, Australia! Not only can you bask in the sun all day (as it will be Summer time there), the city comes alive to ring in the New Year! Famous for its fireworks display all over the world.. this is most certainly a must- visit destination!

London: At midnight on New Year’s Eve, London’s night skies will be a blaze of light and colour with a display of stunning pyrotechnics from the river on London’s famous South Bank! The celebrations don’t stop there… be sure to stay around for the New Years parade on Jan 1st!

Maderia Islands, Portugal: Surprised? So were we… but you can watch fireworks from the deck of your cruise ship or from the port of Funchal! In fact these fireworks were officially recognised by the Guinness World Records, in 2006, as the largest display of fireworks in the world.  

Edinburgh: Edinburgh’s Hogmanay is one of the biggest and best New Year celebrations in the world. Things get underway on 30 December with the spectacular Torchlight Procession. Join thousands of torch carriers as they create a river of fire from the historic Royal Mile to the son et lumiĂ©re and fireworks finale on Calton Hill!

Lisbon: On December 31st Lisboa dresses up to welcome the New Year. Thousands of people fill the city main streets and public squares to celebrate amongst the New Year friends. The Terreiro do Paço will be the giant party hall for the city’s New Year’s celebrations featuring lots of entertainment to mark the passage into the New Year.
