10 Staycation Finds – Take 2

It’s Monday so it’s time for our second edition of our Staycation Finds. Ireland has amazing places to explore and extremely unique gems to stay in that will take your breath away. This week, we have found some very unique gems… OnTheQT Style! Here are 10 Staycation Finds – TAKE 2!

1) Teapot Lane, Co Sligo

Teapot Lane is a unique glamping gem in Castlegal, Sligo. The perfect place for a getaway as a couple or a fun getaway with a bunch of friends. What I love about this gem is that you have the option of staying in a luxurious treehouse, a vintage caravan, a quirky yurt or even a cosy cottage. You are also within 10 minutes drive from beautiful beaches such as Mullaghmore so you can pop for a swim, a walk or even a surf if your feeling adventurous.

2) The Doll’s House – Rathaspeck Manor

If you are looking for a getaway that is like a fairytale, this Doll’s House is for you, located in beautiful Wexford. The colourful and playful nature of the house is seen throughout and the personality of the Doll’s House is reflected all over the house. The attention to detail with carefully selected treasures can been seen in every nook and cranny of the house.

3) Pop’s Dream

4) Martello Tower

This 1804 gem, Martello Tower is located on the north coastline of Dublin Bay and I can see how it is one of the most unusual places to stay in Ireland. You can enjoy this unique staycation spot with breathtaking views of the Bay and surrounding areas. This historic find has 10 feet thick walls, the original stone staircase, all while offering the 360 degree view of Dublin Bay.

5) Wicklow Wilderness Tipi 

Now this is a unique find! Why not go on a Wicklow Wilderness Adventure. Located in the woodland in Rathdrum in Wicklow lies Tipi Adventures. This gem allows you to enjoy nature, smell the pine trees, breathe in the fresh air and escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

If you are a big Lord Of The Rings fan or just looking for an experience that is a little bit different, this Hobbit Hut in Mayo is for you. Located in the rolling hills of the Mayo countryside lies the Hobbit Huts. You will find their green grass roofs, round windows and doors and you will feel like you are in a different world. At night you can even sit outside, toast some marshmallows on the fire pit and stargaze on a clear night.

This contemporary mountain pod was inspired by Irish archaeology and offers a unique retreat in the wilderness. You can walk to a secluded beach or head up the mountain to discover the seven lakes. This boathouse gem is a romantic getaway which is located on the peaceful, calm waterfront of the River Blackwater. Offering peace, tranquility and a very unique natural environment on the River Blackwater. A little piece of heaven.
