While exploring Miami last month, a few locals recommended that I visit an area called Wynwood. I was told that it is a very unique and trendy neighbourhood, located in Downtown Miami. When I arrived, it was already getting dark, however that did not take from the amazing outdoor art throughout the whole neighbourhood. As I walked around Wynwood, I experienced a completely new culture and incredible street art. There is plenty to do, see, eat and drink in Wynwood so if you are in Florida or in the Miami area, I would definitely recommend putting a few hours aside to enjoy the lively atmosphere Wynwood has to offer. It was without a doubt one of my favourite memories from my trip to Miami!
Top Tips:
- Arrive before 6pm, to get a guided tour of the street art.
- Use Uber – it is an extremely cheap form of transport – just download the app onto your smartphone.
- Have a fully charged battery as there is plenty to photograph!
