On The QT

A Vintage Tea Tour with Galaxy

Last week we got invited to spend the day experiencing a lovely afternoon tea with Galaxy Chocolate onboard the Vintage Tea Bus. As you all know, I am a big chocolate lover so of course, I said YES! Afternoon tea has become very popular but this is definitely afternoon tea with a difference on board a vintage bus. We had delicious Galaxy treats as we cruised through all the sites of Dublin. Exploring Dublin while nibble on chocolate delights and sipping on our tea. The perfect way to spend an afternoon. Our bus was a 1961 Routemaster and the route takes you on a trip through the city taking in the Phoenix Park, St. Patrick’s Cathedral, Christ Church, Wood Quay, O’Connell Street, Trinity College, Georgian Dublin, St. Stephens Green and more. Along the way, our host Jack gave us a little information and history along the route.

The Vintage Tea tours run three tours a day Wednesday through to Sunday at 11am, 1.15pm and 3.30pm. (Note: Although the tour we got was with Galaxy chocolate, not all the tours are linked with Galaxy. This was just a Galaxy treat). Prices range from €40 – €50 and takes approximately 1.5 hours. You can take a step back in time and explore Dublin in a unique way. Afternoon tea with a difference. The pick up for the tour is located at The CHQ, Custom House Quay. It is the perfect afternoon out with friends or if you are looking for something different for a Birthday party or hen party, I would highly recommend it. Guaranteed a great time. I even had a little fun photo shoot with our host Jack after a great afternoon. All the staff was just so lovely and friendly and I smiled my way through the tour. Thanks for a great experience guys 🙂
