There is something special about Baltimore, a tiny village nestled deep into West Cork along the Wild Atlantic Way, approx. 13 km from Skibbereen. Whenever I pull into the coastal village… I instantly feel as though I’m on my holidays!
Recently whilst on our Wild Atlantic Way road trip we were lucky enough to spend some time here! After an action packed day, we were more than happy to check into the Waterfront Hotel. Overlooking the harbour, just off the pier you couldn’t ask for a more ideal location! Everything about the Waterfront Hotel was just simply wonderful!
There was a fantastic atmosphere as we arrived at the hotel – families, friends and other tourists sat outside laughing, talking and enjoying the glorious sunshine! We were greeted with open arms by the friendly family and staff who do a superb job of running the hotel, bar and restaurant! Having been showed to our comfortable and seaside themed room…. it was time to relax!
We popped down to the restaurant, where we sat outside to enjoy some delicious food. We watched the sun setting and reminisced about our wonderful day! I highly recommend getting a pizza! #yummy
Although located in the centre of the village, there wasn’t a single sound during the night! We slept soundly! After a tasty breakfast at the lookout restaurant – which has stunning views out over the harbour – it was time to hit the road again!
We’re already looking forward to our next trip to this beautiful hotel! x
