I always love the idea of doing fun things in my home city. When I was approached to take part in the ‘Take on Patrick’s Hill’ challenge, I, of course said yes. We got up early on a Friday morning and cycled up St. Patrick’s Hill in Cork on Electric bikes with City View Wheels. A enthusiastic, energetic group of men and woman included the Lord Mayor, Tony Fitzgerald, a former Lord Mayor and now MEP, Dierdre Clune, local personalities like Pat O’Connell, fishmonger to the queen, as well as a 13 year old and an 81 year old who if I do say so myself shot up the hill faster then anybody else.
The atmosphere is something I took away from the day. Everybody was enjoying themselves, having amazing fun and adventure centered around cycling up St. Patrick Hill on Electric Bikes. One thing you couldn’t help but notice was the enjoyment and smiles on every single persons face. The Cork community is something that is electric. The participants were surprised and delighted to have beaten Cork’s iconic hill. We are delighted to share with you the highlights and laughter from our ‘Take on Patrick’s Hill Challenge’. Could you cycle up St. Patrick’s hill?
If using your electric bike for leisure, you will do journeys you never dreamed possible. Kalkhoff and Kreidler electric bikes will climb any hill without undue effort (even Cork’s famous Patrick’s Hill!).For everything you need to know about Electric bikes pop into Patrick Murray in City View Wheels or take a look at their website here.
I was delighted to work with and partner up with City View Wheels and Cork Cycle Campaign to create the video of the Take on Patrick’s Hill Challenge.
