Recently, we stumbled upon a hidden gem in East Cork. The beautiful Inch Strand, which is a very popular with the locals and visiting surfers. Any surfers out there, we think we have found a new surfing gem at this beach.
A great spot for families who are looking for a nice quiet beach for the day. Perfect for a picnic, swim and some beach fun. This beach has been awarded the Green Coast Award for 2015.
As you all know, we love our surfing trips so we most definitely will be back with the boards soon to check out the surf here. If you haven’t surfed before, there is a surf school ‘Swell Surf School’ located at the beach where you can sign up for lessons or even hire equipment. This is also a great way to get local knowledge and advice.
We also spotted a few jelly fish on our beach walk… This is a sign of good weather isn’t it? Summer sunshine is on the way… well hopefully!!
What we loved is on one side of the beach lies the ‘Swell Surf School’ café where you could get a takeaway tea, coffee and even yummy hot chocolate. A perfect treat for a walk on the beach or to warm up after a swim or surf. Hot chocolate is always a good idea….
The sand may brush off. The salt may wash clean. The tans may fade.
BUT
Beach Memories will last forever
