A few weeks ago, OnTheQT stumbled upon a little gem in Kinsale, Co Cork! We discovered a fresh, bright street full of imagination and we couldn’t help but be drawn into a little, unique shop on the corner called Stone Mad. The quaint shop certainly suited the surroundings of colourful pubs, restaurants and other unique shops! As you step through the door of Stone Mad, you see little pieces of heaven all around(It possibly is a bit of a girlie shop for any of our male readers but great place to pick up any presents for any girl pals!) As you strole through the shop, it feels as if you are stepping through a secret shop filled with all unique gems! From jewellery and sparkles to knitting and travel items! In our opinion, it is like a fairy tale come true as you discover every little corner of this extremely unique find.
Stone Mad is positioned in the colourful bohemian quarter of Newmans mall, Kinsale, Co. cork. Whether it is a treat for yourself or a present for someone special…here you will find purchases that are one of a kind! OnTheQT loved all the unique wallets and holders that almost looked like travel passports and letters(we do love our travel items!!). Also the knit wear was simply amazing. The little booties for babies were by far one of our favourites and looking at all the beatuiful knit wear was like stepping back in time. It is a perfect place for presents and an even better place to find that one piece of jewellery that will be different from anything else around and sure to make your outfit stand out in a crowd. Unique pieces in a unique shop! What more could you want?!

I visited Kinsale last year with my Husband for our wedding anniversary, on entering this magical space, I was transported back to my Childhood, where every little girl wants to be a princess, I spent over an hour there, (But could have stayed the whole day,and I still wouldn’t have seen everything) but my Husband was about to send a search party for me. I purchased shawls and LOADS of Jewellery, which I told myself, I would give as gifts, but I loved it all so much. I couldn’t part with a thing, I know, I know, it was rather mean of me!!! But what’s a girl to do? I also met the adorable Jill,she is an absolute genius. As I have travelled most of the world, and I have never been in such an amazing shop, the time spent there was better than the SPA treatments I had booked. Which I cancelled, as my retail therapy, had made my day. I wear the pieces all the time, and I am regularly stopped by people who admire my unique pieces, and they all want to know where to get them, I tell them, but I would love to be able to buy online.
