Stanley Park

While exploring the beautiful Vancouver city recently, we just had to go check out Stanley Park. The wonderland built within the busy city of Vancouver. It is the largest and most beloved urban park located in the heart of the city with unbelievable views of the cities skyline in the distance. A very popular spot for cycling and roller blading. You can discover kilometres of trails, beautiful beaches, local wildlife, cultural and historical landmarks. We firstly took to the park on bikes and it honestly is one of the best ways to get around. It allowed us to explore a larger area of the park, while also giving us a feel for what the locals love. It is a very popular spot for locals to come to run, cycle and even roller blade. You couldn’t get a nicer spot in the city for outdoor activities.

Throughout Stanley Park, you can explore 400-hectare natural West Coast rainforest and enjoy scenic views of water, mountains, sky, and majestic trees along Stanley Park’s famous Seawall.

In the middle of the park, we came across an area which gave us a big view of the Lion’s Gate Bridge. The Lion’s Gate Bridge is part of the city and one of Vancouver’s most famous landmarks. It connects downtown and the North Shore and is definitely a spectacular sight.

Unfortunately, we didn’t get a beautiful day to explore so we flipped the bike for our car! We drove right around the park and stopped off in many stops to explore and admire. (The rain decided to try and get us back into the Irish weather a little too soon!!).
