The next stop on our East Coast Road trip was the beautiful Noosa! With its stunning natural landscape of crystalline beaches and tropical rainforests, you couldn’t help but fall in love with this getaway holiday town!
We woke bright and early on our first morning and headed off to the National Park with the new friends we had made, and an abundance of local advice from our helpful hostel receptionist! Noosa National Park encompasses an area of more than 4,000 hectares, including sections surrounding Lake Weyba, Peregian and Coolum, its no wonder its loved by locals and tourists alike!
We started our hike by strolling along the boardwalk from the end of Noosa Main Beach. This took us past Little Cove, (a favorite beach for the locals) and onto the main National Park entrance. We followed along the coastal path stopping to admire mother natures creations along the way! “Boiling Pot” is just a short distance into the park with great views back towards Noosa and to the the first beach in the park Tea Tree Bay!
Our next pitstop was at Devils Kitchen where we had excellent views of the coastline to Coolum and beyond. We then came to Hells Gates, where much to our delight there was a family of turtles swimming just beneath us! We sat and watched them in fascination! After a refreshing swim at the beautiful beach, it was time to head back! Our hike took us about 3 hours in total! With an abundance of wildlife, stunning beaches, and even the possibility of seeing a koala bear… I highly recommend heading off on this hike next time you visit Noosa!
Other fun things to in Noosa:
- Head on a boat trip up Noosa River,
