Mount Juliet!

Blogger: Stephanie Lynch

Life is too short not to treat yourself…. right? I believe that once every so often one should book themselves into a fancy hotel and take off on an adventure! That’s exactly what I did recently… and I was certainly not disappointed with the gorgeous Mount Juliet Estate!

Once we arrived at the grande hotel, I knew we were in for a luxurious stay! The driveway had beautiful colourful flowers sprinkled all the way up the golf course which I couldn’t stop admiring! When we arrived at the main hotel reception we were warmly welcomed by a friendly porter who even gave us a tour before checking us in and carrying our bags to our room!

Mount Juliet has a beautiful old-style classic interior with a very rich personality! The walls were dotted with lavish paintings, I even noticed a shiny grand piano in the corner! It truly was a lap of luxury! Our own room was spacious and large.. it even had its own balcony, and of course snow white slippers and a fluffy white robe to make ourselves feel as cosy as possible!

The hotel has outstanding facilities, which we did our utmost to make use of: Tennis courts, a world-class golf course, pitch and putt, bike rentals, horse riding, a swimming pool and spa… pretty much everything you could wish for! We requested two bicycles (free of charge!) and headed off to explore the hotel grounds! It was absolutely beautiful.. lush green fields surrounded us, and not a single sound other than our bicycle wheels and birds singing! Much to my delight arrived at a stud farm which was home to some new baby foals… I could have admired them all morning in the Autumn sunshine! We headed back to the spa to relax after our morning exercise… took a trip to the pool, sauna, steam room and Jacuzzi… and felt really and truly rejuvenated after!

I highly recommend a trip to Mount Juliet for anything from a special girly afternoon tea with friends to  your big wedding day! With top class customer service, and extrodinary attention to detail, I have no doubt you will be pleased with your experience! Located in Thomastown, it is just outside Kilkenny if you fancy a trip into the beautiful city!

Enjoy your trip… and remember it is important to treat yourself once in a while! You’re worth it! 🙂
