Take a walk through Dromillihy Wood in Connonagh in West Cork. Find all the colourful fairy houses dotted along the path. The kids skip along so excitedly looking for the next find- and it’s even more fun when you bring little gifts (hair slides, flowers, pine cones) for them and leave at their door. It’s a good ply if you want to get rid of kids attachments like doodies or dummies – leave at the fairy’s door.
You can almost get drawn into the fairy story yourself and relive your childhood. A little picnic after on the picnic benches tops it off. What a lovely magical way to spend an afternoon with your kids!!
