During the weekend we decided to treat ourselves so we went for some tea and treats in Hayfield Manor, Cork. As soon as we entered the door we were met by a big, warm fire – the perfect welcome on a cold, windy evening. We had a little taste of lots of things – scones, current cake, cheese, desserts to name just a few. Each were as delicious as the next. Nothing beats sitting in luxury by the fire as you look out on the wind and rain. A little piece of heaven.
The cheese board was one of our favourites with lots of choice and variations. We think it would be the perfect Friday night treat with a glass of wine. We might be back there shortly with that Friday feeling.
