Whilst recently travelling the Wild Atlantic Way we were only delighted to spend a night at the luxurious Hotel Meyrick!
Situated in the heart of Galway city, you simply couldn’t ask for a better location! We pulled up outside the beautiful Victorian style hotel, where we were greeted by extremely friendly staff who parked our car for us! With our bags carried into the hotel ahead of us, we genuinely felt like real life princesses as we checked into our home for the night!
Our room was simply stunning! It reminded me of a life- size dolls house! With a king-sized bed, a glittering chandelier, beautiful vintage décor and the perfect view of Galway city out our window, we simply couldn’t have asked for anything more!
We quickly got dressed and headed down for some dinner at the Gaslight Brasserie on the ground floor of the hotel. I couldn’t stop admiring the lobby as I walked through it, such stunning décor! I ordered lamb for dinner which was an excellent choice! It was cooked to perfect, and served with mouth-watering sides!
Après dinner we were lucky enough to do a gin tasting with one of the trained gin specialists at the hotel! This was so much fun, really informative and an excellent idea for a birthday/Christmas party or even a catch up with your friends! I was fascinated as I watched the drinks being created using an array of different ingredients! I was most certainly inspired to create drink fusions of my own, they were delicious!
After a wonderful night’s sleep we knew we had to try out the renowned spa the next morning! We got dressed into our fluffy white robes and headed out to the outdoor Canadian hot tub! What an experience! I never wanted to get out! It was so cool to be outside, and relaxing looking out at the views! After a quick trip to the sauna, steam room and jacuzzi, it was time to hit the road and continue on exploring what Galway had to offer!
I most certainly cannot wait to return to this gem of a hotel! What a relaxing and luxurious stay we had! Thank you x

Love this blog post, looked like a very relaxing stay! I stayed in this hotel in 2021 (now called The Hardiman) and you’re right it’s the perfect location in Galway city!
