As you all know, I love going to Ardmore. It is one of my favourite places in the world. Recently, I was delighted to work on a video for Ardmore Open Farm & Mini Zoo and I loved every minute of it (Minus getting a little scared holding the snake!! Let’s just say the kids visiting the farm were braver then me!). Ardmore Open Farm & Mini Zoo located in Co. Waterford, just 10 minutes from Youghal and on the road into Ardmore. It is located on c.16 acres and overlooking Whiting Bay. Ardmore Open Farm & Mini Zoo has quickly become one of the main family attractions in the South East. The facility has grown and developed in the short time since opening I can honestly it is one of the nicest open farms I have been to and I have been to many. It is the perfect outing for kids. You get the opportunity to get up close and personal with a wide range of exotic and farm animals and during petting hour. Both the kids and adults get to hold reptiles, furry favourites, birds and much more.
There are petting times available throughout the day which are a favourite amongst the visitors, along with barrel rides around the farm. There are activities to suit all ages with zip wires, playgrounds, sandpits, air hockey tables, soccer pitch, maze, go carts, tunnel slides, indoor play area… the list is endless. I could not believe the amount of variety in the activities at the Farm. You can stroll around the facility at your ease and savour a huge variety of animals and birds from all over the world.
I went and filmed this video and brought my two nieces back two weeks later to experience it themselves. This experience is definitely one to try with your kids and also one they will talk about for years to come. I can say I was the best Auntie after bring them here for the day. Such a fun trip and memories to last a lifetime.
Opening times: Summer 2018 Opening Hours are Monday – Saturday – 11am – 5.30pm, Sunday & Bank Holidays – 12pm – 5.30pm. Closed weekdays for Autumn / Winter months but Open weekdays during school holidays.
