The world of glamping has become very popular the past few years so we decided to pick out some of our favourite glamping spots from around Ireland. Have you a glamping gem you would like to share with us? Leave a comment below and we will add it to our summer staycation bucket list.
1) Chléire Haven
This gem nestled away in South West Cork. Cape Clear island, (Oileán Chléire) is the southernmost inhabited part of Ireland. It has a population of just over 100 people, and is an official Gaeltacht area. Chléire Haven campsite overlooks the glittering bay which is truly spectacular. You can simply get the ferry from Baltimore which takes about 45 minutes and the island awaits you.
Enjoy the magical island with one of their Mongolian yurts as your accommodation. Cosy, comfortable and warm which allows for glamping at its best. Just look at that view – what more could you want?

2) Ardmore Glamping Pods
Located in the seaside village of Ardmore Co. Waterford is a little hidden accommodation gem called Ardmore Glamping Pods. Six luxury glamping pods which are the perfect retreat for a couple or even a family as the pods can cater for up to 5 people. Situated on the grounds of the extremely popular Ardmore Open Farm and Mini Zoo so your neighbours are the meerkats, lemurs and even a lynx cat now.
This gem is surrounded by stunning sea views and overlooks the breathtaking Whiting Bay. Ardmore is one of my favourite places in the world and the beaches nearby the Ardmore Glamping Pods are some of the best in the world from Whiting Bay, Goats Island, Ardmore beach, the Curragh beach and my ultimate favourite Ballyquin Beach. You also have the picturesque Cliff Walk nearby to enjoy during your visit. The perfect spot for a break away by the seaside.

3) Legan Castle Farmhouse
This 200 year old, charming farmhouse is located on 7 acres and is waiting for you to explore. The courtyard itself lies on the 16th Century ruins of Legan Castle. This gem in located in Thomastown, Kilkenny and perfect for a romantic getaway or a getaway with friends. Legan Castle Farmhouse pride themselves on quality and providing a truly unique experience for their guests. The perfect setting to eat, sleep and escape the world.

4) Killarney Glamping at the Grove
If you are looking for a luxurious couples only Glamping gem in Killarney with spectacular views of the Kerry Mountains then you’ve come to the right place. A peaceful, romantic getaway awaits you.
Every suite has its own private kitchen, stove and en-suit bathroom. There is so much to do around the area but a sunset kayak, followed by a stay at the Grove sounds idyllic. This gems ensures those seeking adventure will not compromise on comfort.

5) Dromquinna Manor
If you are looking for a bit of luxury in the woods, Dromquinna Manor is for you. Their tents are very unique and custom made by a safari tent expert in India. Everything about this gem screams luxury.
If you are looking for a truly luxurious glamping experience, this is for you. On the site, you can enjoy access to the playground, kitchen, games room, reading room and the central area is provided for barbecues and camp fires.

6) Portsalon Luxury Yurts
This glamping gem has the most beautiful coastal setting in the North of Donegal. You can stay in their cosy yurts on your king sized bed and even enjoy a wood burning stove. The village of Portsalon has a spectacular 3 mile long blue flag sandy beach. A peaceful and secluded area for you to switch off from the hustle and bustle of life.

7) Rock Farm Slane

Located in a wild meadow on an organic farm, this gem overlooks the beautiful Slane Castle. You have the option to stay in a yurts or shepherds huts for your night at Rock Farm Slane. This gem has a real homely feeling to it. If you are looking for something a little unique, you can try their wood burning hot tub to chill out under the stars.

8) Pod Umna Village
This gem is set in heart of Portumna town in Galway. If you are looking for a unique experience with a twist of fun, this gem is for you. You have the option to stay in Pods, Huts or Cabins at Pod Umna Village. All the fun of camping, without the hardship.
The town of Portumna is full of areas to explore with its Castle, Abbey, historic Workhouse and Forest park, the River Shannon and Lough Derg, and a great range of shops, pubs and restaurants.
