A 7am start brought us to Ross Castle in Killarney… Even the ducks were still asleep. We had a beautiful Red deer look at us as we headed out on the lake. We are heading out with John of Mór Active for a nice start to our day. Mór Active Tours create personalised experience with small group tours to allow you to get to know Ireland. We went on a gentle kayak adventure exploring the incredible history of Ross Castle and experiencing the lakes unique wild nature. This mesmerizing kayak tour is the best way to experience the Lakes of Killarney and offers you a real unique insight into the historical importance of Ross Castle. John also filled us in on how the surrounding landscape was formed and observe its beautiful nature close at hand. A two hour kayaking trip in Ross Castle costs online €30. We continued onto Tralee to check all the adventures at Tralee Bay Wetlands. Tralee Bay Wetlands is a watersports & rock climbing centre with a wildlife exhibition and a nature boat trip! So first up was the nature tour of the wetlands. I then faced my fear and tried zorbing for the first time… let’s just say it is the perfect way to tire kids out!! I for one was wrecked after it!! Next up was the climbing wall. I may not have been wearing the most appropriate shoes but I still reached the top!! For more information head over to Traleebaywetlands.org.
We then hit the scenic road to Dingle and the weather changed so we went to explore the Dingle Oceanworld Aquarium which is situated in Dingle town in County Kerry and hosts Ireland’s largest collection of Sharks as well as our Gentoo Penguin display.
