This week, we went on a road trip to the beautiful town of Kinsale – around 35 minutes from Cork City. We started the day by tapping into our creative side in Ballinacurra at Kinsale Pottery & Arts Centre. After a quick demo on how it’s actually done… I took to the hot seat and tried making a bowl with a little guidance! Kinsale Pottery and Arts Centre provides arts and crafts courses for adults and children, specialising in pottery/ceramics, glass fusing, jewellery-making, and mosaic-making. We run weekly classes, weekend breaks, summer schools and summer camps, and tailor-made workshops for groups. For more information on all the courses head over to their website.
I then put my skills of football and golfing into practice and try Footgolf with FootGolf Cork. We are always looking for something new and different so when we came across Footgolf, we just had to go check it out. Footgolf is the newest and most exciting sport in years!! ituated on the outskirts of Kinsale in Co.Cork, FootGolf Cork is the first and only purpose built FootGolf course in the South of Ireland. We then went surfing in Garretstown with GTown Surf School. What better way to end the day then on the water surfing the waves!! So after a demo on land and after getting the surfing stance perfected… it was time to hit the water. After a few stumbles and some tutition… it wasn’t long until I was standing up. With each wave I was getting better and riding longer waves. I even got to try a few tricks with the summer camp… I may not be a pro at them though!!For more information head over to surfgtown.com.
In the second half of the show, We are met John of Magic Vacations in Kinsale where he is going to fill us in on everything we need to know for planning a trip to the place where dreams come true… Walt Disney World.
