As the time grew closer to continue our trip along the Wild Atlantic Way with EuropCar, we could barely contain our excitement! Having completed the first leg of our trip in series one (Kinsale – Tralee), we were ready to start our roadtrip in Tralee and continue on as far as Galway! We picked up our beautiful car, and as before the staff at EuropCar were extremely helpful and friendly! With a picnic basket, wetsuits and our cameras packed… it was time to hit the road!
Mary Anne’s Tearooms: Our first stop was the beautiful Mary- Anne’s tearooms in Tralee. It felt as though we had walked into a life-size dolls house. with beautifully quaint and vintage décor! The tea rooms were bursting to the brim with freshly made local cakes! With a restaurant and hostel style accommodation also at the premises, it is most definitely worth your while stopping here on your adventure!
Tralee Bay Wetlands: It was time to work off all the cakes, so we headed to Tralee Bay Wetlands – a watersports & rock climbing centre with a wildlife exhibition and a nature boat trip! From rock climbing to pedal boating.. and even zorbing, we were willing to try everything out! Such a fun place!
Oyster Tavern: It was time for dinner so we headed to the wonderful Oyster Tavern. Nestled in the heart of Tralee Bay beneath the Slieve Mish mountains, this award-winning bar & restaurant has built up and excellent reputation for freshly prepared local seafood!
Ballyroe Heights Hotel: After an exciting day of activities we were only delighted to check into the gorgeous Ballyroe Heights Hotel! What amazingly comfortable beds!
Until tomorrow, good night x
