Taronga Zoo, Sydney!

Blogger: Lauren Lucy Crowley

Taronga Zoo is the city zoo in Sydney. With an idyllic location on the shores of Sydney Harbour, it makes for the perfect day out for all the family!

We set off bright and early on our trip and caught the ferry across to Mosman (by far my favourite method of transport! Its so pretty sailing past the iconic Opera House!).  The zoo is divided into eight sections, over 21-hectares and is home to over 4,000 animals of 340 species which will be sure to keep you entertained all day!

There are plenty shows and feeding times on throughout the day so be sure to gather as much info and maps as possible from the information centre before you enter the zoo! I particularly enjoyed the seal show, the Kangaroo trail and watching the reptiles being fed by the zoo keeper!

With restaurants dotted around the zoo, multiple playgrounds and activities such as zip lining you and your family are guaranteed a super day out!

Getting there:

Taronga Zoo is located on Bradleys Head, Mosman. The quickest and easiest way to get there is on the Ferry from Circular Quay taking just 12 minutes!
