Jack’s Coastguard Restaurant!

Whilst travelling the Wild Atlantic Way we were very excited to taste some of the best seafood Ireland has to offer! We were more than satisfied with our choice when we took a trip to Jack’s Coastguard Restaurant in Co. Kerry!

Located in the beautiful fishing village of Cromane, this restaurant was originally a coastguard station built in 1866. Since then the building steeped in history has gone from strength to strength… and is now an award winning seafood restaurant with an excellent reputation!

As soon as we walked into this family run restaurant I knew we were in for a wonderful experience! Nestled in behind the Atlantic Ocean, just off the beach with panoramic views of the McGillicuddy reeks… the location simply couldn’t be better!

Full of quirky yet classic décor, we admired the entire place as we walked down to our table by the window! What a unique experience to have such an incredible view whilst dining! From the careful manicured gardens right outside the window to out across the skyline… it was stunning! The extensive menu made it a difficult choice to choose our meal, however the helpful waiter was only delighted to assist us and recommended the local favourites!

Our meal was as fresh as could be, absolutely top quality seafood prepared to perfection! We savoured every last bite! If you’re looking for an award – winning dining experience, a delicious meal on your road trip or perhaps a special treat… I highly recommend a trip to this excellent restaurant! Hope you enjoy your experience as much as we did!
