Around a month ago, OnTheQT spent an amazing weekend in Castlemartyr Resort for the Entrepreneur Experience 2014. This was an unforgetable weekend full of inspiring entrepreneurs where energy filled the place throughout the weekend. We were delighted that the weekend was in the amazing Castlemartyr Resort. We had heard of the wonderful hotel but we never got the chance to experience it… until that weekend. Trust us this secluded gem is a place everybody should experience. The luxury Castlemartyr Resort consists of a grand 17th century country manor house that sits adjacent to the ruins of an 800-year-old-castle. As you enter the gates of Castlemartyr Resort it is like stepping back in time to a countryside manor full of beauty, luxury, tranquility and peace.
Castlemartyr Resort welcomes everybody to enjoy their secluded retreat. The resort keeps it’s old 17th century country manor. Before you even enter the door, you are surrounded by the old, vintage style. We love that the Castlemartyr Resort welcomes both you and your pet(if you wish) for a vacation together(any dog, regardless of size, weight, or breed, as long as they are cute, adorable and well-behaved)! If you dont have a dog, that’s ok as our two favourite friends, resident Irish Setters, Earl & Countess love people taking them on walks on the beautiful, scenic walking trails near the hotel grounds by the lake(They might end up taking you for the walk as they know their favourite walks around the estate). Horses fill the green fields spreading out to the lake with the forest meeting it in the horizon.
The location, the vintage decor, the warm welcome and the luxurious rooms make it a experience to remember. Sometime in life, you just need to take some time out…some YOU TIME! That is exactly what Castlemartyr Resort allows you to do. Take time out and unwind in the tranquil estate.
