Have you ever dreamed of stepping inside a chocolate factory? We did recently and it was everything we thought it would be and more!! We are always looking for new things to try so recently we decided to become a chocolatier for the day at Butler’s Chocolate factory in North Dublin. We did the Butler’s Chocolate Experience Tour and it was a tasty tour!!
We became a chocolatier for the day at the Butler’s Chocolate experience. Lauren gave us a tour of the factory. As you walk around the factory you are met with the aroma of chocolate all around you. You get to discover for yourself the magic and wonder of where chocolate comes from. Since 1932, Butler’s chocolate masters have used their skill and artistry to create our famous chocolate assortments, chocolate bars, fudge and toffee and hot chocolate.
We firstly watched the chocolate movie and leant all about the origins of chocolate and the history of the famous Butler’s Chocolates. We then had a wander around the chocolate museum before heading in to view the entire Chocolate factory from above through glass windows. We learnt all about how the different chocolates were made and we even got to see them being made as we looked over the chocolate factory at the chocolatiers at work. Afterwards we got a chocolate demonstration and got to learn all the techniques. I even got to see how my favourite orange crunch sweet was made. Afterwards I sat down to decorate my own chocolate piece.
